A few weeks ago, this lady I know, Kristi, emailed me and asked me about a local stores cakes and what designs they have and if they could do a camo cake. I know from experience that they did not have what she was looking for so I told her that if she sent me some ideas I would combine them and create a cake for her son's birthday. So I ended up making a white cake with chocolate buttercream icing (made the "tan" for the camo). She wanted camo colors around the edge and that was a huge experience. I've had to learn how to mix colors to get what I want and which food color is the best. I was finally able to, with the help of my husband, mix the food color and icing to make the camo colors! My sister baked the cake and she did a fantastic job! Using a #22 tip I decorated the edge to look like camo and the effect of the tip made it look grassy. So when we got to where the party was, Kristi put little army men and a tank around the edge, it looked awesome! (I will post a picture when I get one!)
